More About: Politics: General ActivismGreat Britain must come to terms with its overpopulation predicament
“Whether we accept it
or not, this will likely be the century that determines what the optimal human
population is for our planet. It will come about in one of two ways: Either we decide to manage our own numbers,
to avoid a collision of every line on civilization's graph - or nature will do
it for us, in the form of famines, thirst, climate chaos, crashing ecosystems,
opportunistic disease, and wars over dwindling resources that finally cut us
down to size.” Alan Weisman,
Countdown: Our Last
Best Hope for a Future on Earth?
Great Britain houses 62 million people in a landmass less than the size
of America’s State of Oregon. That state
supports 3.9 million people, but feels too crowded to most Oregonians.
In the early decades of the 21st century, the human mob
displaces animals, habitat, environment and contaminates the biosphere at
blinding speed.
While the third world reels from overpopulation, the United Kingdom
expects to add yet another 11 million people to its already crowded
corridors. Brits continue endless
immigration in light of this fact of their limited landmass:
"Unlimited
population growth cannot be sustained; you cannot sustain growth in the rates
of consumption of resources. No species can overrun the carrying capacity of a
finite land mass. This Law cannot be repealed and is not negotiable.” Dr. Albert
Bartlett:

University of Colorado, USA.
While
the United States, Canada and Europe continue flooding themselves with endless
millions of overpopulation-refugees from around the world, few even dare
whisper Great Britain’s predicament at Number 10 Downing Street or in the
Parliament. They need to speak up
because of this recent video on NBC News with Brian Williams on Monday, March
31, 2014. It will sober you as to your children’s nightmare future
with global climate change. (That’s for starters) How do I
know? When I worked and lived in Antarctica in 1997-98, I reported
on the top scientists of that time creating climate change models on computers
from their growing data. Because
it seemed so imperceptible, no world leaders and the general populace around
the planet ignored it.
Try
to ignore this video:
“No one is immune:
study offers bleak climate change outlook” by Ann Thompson, NBC correspondent
If
this video doesn’t scare the nickers off your legs, I don’t know what will
frighten you into a realistic understanding of humanity’s predicament.
Every
world leader and all world citizens should be screaming in the streets for
population stabilization and alternative energy resources—even if that means
going back to sailing ships, bicycle travel, walking, solar and wind
power. We can’t keep burning coal and oil if we expect to survive
the 21st century. Period!
Fellow
earthlings, we cannot keep going down our current road of adding 1 billion of
ourselves every 12 years on our way from 7.2 billion to 10.1 billion within 36
years by 2050.
We
tinker with the mechanisms that keep the planet balanced and able to sustain
all life. We disrupt water systems with dams, we contaminate oceans
with Fukushima radioactive liquids, we poison our soils, we poison the air, we
kill endless creatures out of existence and the list grows.
How
do any you, (us) think we’re going to fool Mother Nature and the Natural World
and get away with it.
We
will NOT escape it. Dr. Jack Alpert, one of the most brilliant minds
on the planet, offers you a simple understanding via his latest scientific
research. www.skil.org

To all my British
friends and colleagues, you represent the best chance for any country to
address human overpopulation by stopping mass immigration and encourage those
overpopulated countries into engaging birth control and family planning. If you
remain an exhaust valve for overpopulated countries, you solve nothing. You
“enable” them to continue exploding the world population by a net gain of 80
million annually.

You need to raise
your voices by writing, speaking, demonstrating, letters to the editor, calls
to your television stations, yelling and screaming—to become the news instead
of reading the news.
Otherwise, the
great nations of the west will end up like this famous quote by a friend of
mine, Dr. Otis Graham,
“Most Western elites continue urging the wealthy
West not to stem the migrant tide [that adds 80 million net gain annually to
the planet], but to absorb our global brothers and sisters until their horrid
ordeal has been endured and shared by all—ten billion humans packed onto an
ecologically devastated planet.” Unguarded Gates

If we don’t halt
population growth with justice and compassion, it will be done for us by
nature, brutally and without pity – and will leave a ravaged world.
~Nobel Laureate Dr. Henry W. Kendall
"The raging monster upon the land is
population growth. In its presence, sustainability is but a fragile theoretical
construct. To say, as many do, that the difficulties of nations are not
due to people, but to poor ideology and land-use management is
sophistic.” Harvard scholar and biologist E.O. Wilson
Need
I say more? Now, it’s time for you to speak up.
