The Real Viper Conspiracy; Don't believe the hype
08-21-2009

by Vin Suprynowicz
On July 1, a dozen citizens of Phoenix were arrested and charged with being members of
the "Viper Militia." The next day, President Clinton stood on the White House lawn.
saying. "I'd like to begin today by saluting the enforcement officers who made arrests in
Arizona yesterday to avert a terrible terrorist attack." But as the indictments are made
available to the public and more evidence about the Vipers' activities emerges, it is
becoming increasingly clear that the Viper case is merely the government's latest assault
on citizens exercising their Second Amendment rights.

Zogby: Obama Hits Record Low in Poll
08-20-2009
•
Newsmax
President Barack Obama's popularity has plummeted to a record low, with just 45 percent of voters now approving of his performance, according to the latest Zogby International poll.
Asked whether they approve or disapprove of the president's job performance, just 45.3 percent of likely voters say they approve. That compares with 50.5 percent who disapprove of the job Obama is doing.
The results are a strong indication that contentious national debate over healthcare reform has taken a major toll on the president's popularity.
Those numbers also indicate that Obama clearly is in serious political trouble, Fox News analyst and best-selling author Dick Morris tells Newsmax.
"As soon as Obama dropped below 52 percent . . . he was leaking real voters who had backed him in November," Morris tells Newsmax. "Now that he is down to 45 percent among likely voters . . . he is in deep political trouble."
Of greatest concern to Obama may well be his de

The Market Ticker
When does the willful blindness in terms of bank fraud taking place daily in the so-called "marks" on housing-related loans stop?
The Mortgage Bankers Association released its latest update:
The non-seasonally adjusted delinquency rate increased 64 basis points from 8.22 percent in the first quarter of 2009 to 8.86 percent this quarter.
and
The delinquency rate includes loans that are at least one payment past due but does not include loans somewhere in the process of foreclosure. The percentage of loans in the foreclosure process at the end of the second quarter was 4.30 percent, an increase of 45 basis points from the first quarter of 2009 and 155 basis points from one year ago. The combined percentage of loans in foreclosure and at least one payment past due was 13.16 percent on a non-seasonally adjusted basis, the highest ever recorded in the MBA delinquency survey.
That's right folks. That means that of all mortgage loans 13.16% are not in "accr

So on Tuesday, we did a segment on this black dude who showed up in Arizona where Barack Obama was speaking " with an assault weapon and a pistol strapped to his shoulder. We all pretty much agreed, that despite his actions being legal, it was still idiotic. There are many things in life that are legal, but totally nuts if done at the wrong time. For example, when I shower I’m completely naked " no law against that. However, try showing up nude at a Jonas Brothers lunch box signing " that’s another story (I blame it on the Ambien).videos

Chile finds H1N1 swine flu in turkeys
08-20-2009
•
Reuters
Chile detected the H1N1 swine flu virus in turkeys, authorities said on Thursday, the first time the virus has been found outside humans or pigs.
Chile's farming and livestock agency SAG said the flu outbreak had been controlled at the two farms 75 miles west of the capital Santiago.
"We call on the public to consume turkey products with confidence," a SAG statement said. It added that laboratory results ruled out the presence of H5N1 or bird flu virus.
The Geneva-based World Health Organization declared H1N1 a full pandemic in June and the virus has now spread to some 180 countries, causing at least 1,462 laboratory-confirmed deaths. The WHO says the pandemic is unstoppable.
The H1N1 swine flu virus was first seen in March in Mexico and California. Experts say at least 1 million people have been infected in the United States alone.
Genetic tests show the virus appears to have originated in pigs but it is now spreading from human to human.

Health 'Co-ops' Are Government Care
8/20/09
•
Wallstreet Journal
Responding to a building wave of opposition to the "public option," the Obama administration is now signaling that it may dress up government health care in yet another set of clothes. This time, it will be called a health insurance "co-op." Sen. Kent Conrad (D., N.D.) is floating the idea, Sen. Max Baucus (D., Mont.) has offered his initial support, and Sen. Chuck Schumer (D., N.Y.) has listed three conditions it needs to meet.
Mr. Schumer's conditions are a national structure, federal financing, and a ban on federal appointees who have ties to the insurance industry. This "co-op" would be federally controlled, federally funded, and federally staffed. Expressing his opposition to smaller organizations and his demand for a national "co-op," Mr. Schumer says, "It has to have clout; it has to be large." He adds, "There would at least be one national model that could go all over the country," which would require "a la

Washington;s Blog
Sometimes the message is great, no matter what you think of the messenger.
Larry Flynt - yes, that Larry Flynt - wrote today on Huffington Post:
The American government -- which we once called our government -- has been taken over by Wall Street, the mega-corporations and the super-rich ... Both Democrats and Republicans dance to the tune of their corporate masters. In America, corporations do not control the government. In America, corporations are the government.
This was never more obvious than with the Wall Street bailout, whereby the very corporations that caused the collapse of our economy were rewarded with taxpayer dollars. So arrogant, so smug were they that, without a moment's hesitation, they took our money -- yours and mine -- to pay their executives multimillion-dollar bonuses, something they continue doing to this very day. They have no shame. They don't care what you and I think about them. Henry Kissinger refers to us as "useless eaters"...

Obama’s Congress Vows Forceful Takeover of American People Imminent
8/20/09
•
Repubx
Since the 2006 Congressional elections"when leftist Democrats took over the majority of both the US House of Representatives and Senate"the dye was cast for the takeover of the lives of the American people. Then, the Dictator-in-Chief Barack Hussein Obama was placed into the office of the presidency. At that point, the Democrats had two of the three branches of government in their greased pockets. Obama vowed to push all of his Socio-fascist programs through, despite any and all opposition. And he and his minions are now pushing as hard and as fast as they can. The current forceful pushes are firmly against the American people.
Beginnings of Takeover"Part 1 More....

I imagine many of you have seen this by now.
Several conservative bloggers, including Hot Air, RedState, and NewsBusters, have taken MSNBC to task for not identifying a man with a gun at an Obama event as an African-American in a segment that discussed the "racial overtones" of those packing heat at presidential town halls.
A combination of fancy editing and fast talking, both done stupidly because it's MSNBC (If a moron can make it in this business, hey, why not you?).
As expected, MSNBC just sloughs it off:

A History of Violence
The long, sordid tale of anti-black brutality on the American left
08-20-2009
•
Reason
Do the noisy protests directed at President Barack Obama's health care plan reveal something uniquely sinister about the American right? A surprising number of liberal pundits seem to think so. "Let's be honest with ourselves," progressive blogger Josh Marshall declared, "the American right has a deep-seated problem with political violence....The ideological pattern is clear going back at least thirty years and arguably far longer."
Chip Berlet, a senior researcher at the liberal think tank Political Research Associates, went even further than that, telling New America Media: "For over 100 years"more like 150, you've had these movements, and they came out of the Civil War. It is a backlash against social liberalism and it's rooted in libertarian support for unregulated capitalism and white people holding onto power, and, if they see themselves losing it, trying to get it back."
Now, it's certainly true that the United States has

Enough natural gas to heat every home in North Dakota through at least
two brutal winters was burned off as an unmarketable byproduct in the
state's oil patch in 2008. North Dakota produced a record 62.8 million barrels of oil last year,

production, was pegged at 86 billion cubic feet " of which 26 billion
cubic feet was "flared" because of the lack of collecting systems and
pipelines needed to move it to market.

What's Up With China?
08-20-2009
•
Washington;s Blog
MarketWatch argues:
A weak set of economic indicators for July laid the foundation for the latest market correction, challenging the Shanghai Composite's nearly doubling in value in the first seven months of the year.
But let's dig a little deeper.
China's current-account surplus is off 32% for the first half of the year.
Financial Times Alphaville writer Izabella Kaminska convincingly argues that China's stimulus money is being recollected back from the people who receive it before it can do any good.
China has lent out a huge amount of money. Marketwatch's David Weider notes that "China loaned $852 billion globally through the first five months of the year".
Vitaliy Katsenelson argues that while China has been blowing a huge bubble in lending, the government may have enough of a surplus to pull it off - at least for a couple of years (especially given that the banks are controlled by the government).
But - at some point in the future

It might be the ultimate free lunch " how to reap all the advantages of a calorically restricted diet " including freedom from disease and an extended healthy life span " without eating less. Just take a drug that tricks the body into thinking it's on such a diet.
It sounds too good to be true, and maybe it is. Yet such drugs are now in clinical trials. Even if they should fail, as most candidate drugs do, their development represents a new optimism among research biologists that aging is not immutable, that the body has resources that can be mobilized into resisting disease and averting the adversities of old age.
This optimism, however, is not fully shared. Evolutionary biologists, the experts on the theory of aging, have strong reasons to suppose that human life span cannot be altered in any quick and easy way. But they have been confounded by experiments with small laboratory animals, such as roundworms, fruit flies and mice. In all these species, the change of single gen

Let's annualize - that would be about $5 trillion a year in annualized issuance. My-oh-my how long can this continue?
Who knows. What I do know is that this is absolutely unsustainable, it is approaching 40% of GDP annually, and yet this is what is required to keep all the balls and plates in the air as a direct consequence of our government's decision to sponsor and permit massive financial system fraud to continue.
The world's tolerance for this will eventually end and
