Bashing Iran Because It's Free From Hegemon USA's Control

by Stephen Lendman

Operating as a mouthpiece for hegemon USA's imperial rampaging and undemocratic Dem dark forces, the NYT virtually called for toppling Iran's legitimate government in an editorial headlined:

"How the US Can Help Support the Women of Iran Calling for Change"

Suppressing reality about weeks of made-in-the USA protests, following the tragic death of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini — a young woman not mistreated while in police custody — the Times urged "the US and its allies" to act against what it falsely called "a tyrannical theocracy (sic)."

It lied accusing Iran of "violence…on women since" its liberating 1979 revolution — ending a generation of US-installed fascist tyranny (the real thing), its reign of terror supported by the Times and other US/Western MSM.

And this Times trash:

The Islamic Republic "regards enmity with the US and keeping women in their place as critical to their survival in power (sic)."

More trash:

"The (invented) threat of a virulently anti-American and anti-Israeli regime obtaining nuclear weapons is real (sic)."

Not a shred of credible evidence suggests efforts, or an interest, by Iran to develop and produce nukes.

Its ruling authorities abhor these WMDs, wanting them eliminated everywhere before they eliminate us.

The current Islamic Republic government and its predecessors warrant high praise for forthrightly opposing hegemon USA's global war on humanity — as well as state terror by apartheid Israel against millions of long-suffering Palestinians — what the Times and other MSM support and cheerlead.

Since freeing Iran from US-controlled tyrannical rule 43 years ago, its ruling authorities have prioritized peace, stability, cooperative relations with other nations and compliance with international law.

Islamic Republic actions on the world stage are polar opposite how US-dominated NATO regimes operate — raping and destroying one invented enemy after another to control them, wanting their resources plundered, their people exploited as serfs.

And this Times perversion of reality, falsely calling Iran "isolat(ed) global(ly) (sic)."

Another Times bald-faced Big Lie:

Since Trump abandoned the UN Security Council's unanimously adopted JCPOA nuclear deal — in flagrant breach of international and US constitutional law — saying the Biden regime and its Western P2+1 vassals "have been trying to revive it" flies in the face of their obstructionist tactics to kill the landmark deal once and for all.

And this Times trash:

Its "up to Iran to choose whether to revive the" JCPOA (sic).

Ignored by the Times is that adopted in July 2015 and implemented in January 2016, Iran has been in compliance with its provisions.

In sharp contrast, the Obama/Biden regime flagrantly breached the deal before its ink was dry.

Further breaches followed by the undemocratic Dem regime until Trump abandoned it altogether.

What the Times called "economic suffering of the Iranian people" failed to explain over four decades of US sanctions war on the country and other dirty tricks — including earlier orchestrated protests for regime change, foiled by Tehran.

And this Times trash:

Ignoring nuclear armed and dangerous Israel, its editors called for "continuing efforts (to) curtail Iran's (nonexistent) nuclear weapons program."

And so-called "Iranian dissidents" were made-in-the-USA as part of longstanding regime change policy — what applies to all nations free from its control.

In the case of the Islamic Republic, hegemon USA seeks control over its vast hydrocarbon resources.

Iran has the world's 4th largest oil and 2nd largest natural gas reserves.

It's also apartheid Israel's main regional rival, a nation it wants partitioned into mini-states for easy control.

The Times quoted interventionist Blinken, saying that the Biden regime intends "to help make sure the Iranian people are not kept isolated and in the dark (sic)."

Along with orchestrating violent street protests since last month, the above remark is code language for sought regime change.

Supporting street violence with this aim in mind, the Times also called for "impos(ing) more (illegal) sanctions on the country than already — to more greatly harm its people than already.

Until Russia launched its liberating SMO, Iran was the most illegally sanctioned nation by hegemon USA and its Western vassals.

The Russian Federation now tops it by a wide margin.

The common thread among US-sanctioned nations is their independence, their unwillingness to sell their sovereignty and souls to the empire of lies and forever wars on invented enemies.

The Times and other MSM support what demands condemnation and all-out resistance against.

It's a lying machine at war on journalism as it should be — in support of self-declared master of the universe USA.

A Final Comment

On Wednesday, Ayatollah Khamenei called made-in-the USA protests "clumsy (and) foolish," adding:

"The Iranian nation made great moves in a short period of time, which were 180 degrees opposite to the global arrogance's policies, and US/Western regimes were forced to react" with their customary violence in breach of international law.

On Friday, President Ebrahim Raeisi said the following:

"Iran's enemies were seeking to cause trouble for the country in (street) riots, but as in the past, the (Iranian) people routed them with patience and resistance."

Separately on Friday, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian stressed that the Islamic Republic anchors regional stability and security.

Its agenda in compliance with international law is in sharp contrast to forever wars by US-dominated NATO and apartheid Israeli state-terror against long-suffering Palestinians and neighboring Syria.

Iran is not a "land for velvet or other (color revolution) coups" — a US specialty against nonbelligerent, nonthreatening enemies.

Since its liberating 1979 revolution, Iran foiled multiple coup attempts, a blitzkrieg of illegal sanctions and most every dirty trick imaginable in trying to replace its legitimate governments with US-controlled tyrannical rule.

What failed before is being thwarted again now.
