Originally voting was there to control only a few things. In the US, and the Federal Government, these things basically are: public money, borders, insurrection, and the military to protect America. But talk by blabbermouth politicians tricked the people into using the Contract Clause to contract with government for all kinds of other things. | If you own your own semi truck and all the things within it as private property, with a bit of work, you can avoid all the US border law between States. Your truck full of produce or whatever in not Interstate Commerce, if it is owned simply by you, the man or woman. Safety laws still apply. But standard commerce laws - even licensing laws - don't.
