Teen homeschooler jailed under Patriot Act
• WNDA 16-year-old homeschooled boy from North Carolina was taken away from his home in handcuffs two months ago and has been held by the FBI in Indiana ever since, a victim, his mother claims, of the Patriot Act spun out of control.

Well, what government did you think you needed to protect your child from?
I don't think you have to watch the news religiously at 5 AND 10 to know that the Azerbaijan government isn't plucking children off North Carolina streets.
"We have no rights under the Patriot Act to even defend them, because the Patriot Act basically supersedes the Constitution," she told WRAL-TV.
Is this what they're peddling now? My understanding is that it's not possible for the Patriot Act (or any other act) to supersede the Constitution, any more than it's possible for the child to give birth to the mother. The Constitution is the basic document _upon which all other laws are based._
Am I wrong about this, anyone? Comments welcome!
