I'd like to point out though that only one of them is named Micheal Shermer. I have not found anyone that can give me a good reason to believe that god exists. I am a huge proponent of freedom but those who base their whole argument in favor of liberty on mythology really compromise the integrity of the movement. I'm a big fan of the Judge but saying we should be free because wants us to be and god says it's ok is very weak.
Also, if god wants us to be free, and it is omnipotent, why has it allowed our rights and freedom to be taken from us? Is he really omnipotent or rather is he incompetent?
