America could easily reduce its population expansion by government offering cash incentives to teenagers ages 12 through 19 not to get pregnant. Perhaps pay teenage girls $200 a month. Over a period of 8-years that would amount to $19,200, a small amount considering how much States and Federal Government spend to support children born out of wedlock.

Ross,

Actually, US women since 1970 have averaged 2.03 children.  Easiest way to stop overpopulation in America: reduce all immigration to less than 100,000 per year. Why 100,000? That's how many egress the country annually.  We're already at ZPG; we just need to stop mass and unending immigration coming from a line that grows by 80 million annually. Thanks for your ideas.  FW

Hey Frost, there's this mass of unintelligible characters at the bottom of your piece. It' "pushing the page" horizontally. You might be able to get into the editor and clear anything below your content--even if it just looks like a blank space.

And somebody better go round and see if Bakadude is OK. He usually can't resist a chance at biting Frosty's leg so I'm naturally concerned ;)

OMFG! I'm probably gonna get crucified for this but I just got this visual image of a dog chasing Frosty on his bicycle and  nipping at his leg and the name sprang to mind: Bakadog.

I don't really feel like fighting today but that one was just too good to pass up.

Hey, Ned, Frosty was the one who started calling you, me and even Ernie and the rest of us -- who voiced a contrary opinion to his end of the world due to population overload fantasy -- a bunch of  "innumerates" or ignorant.  If you are happy with it, I'm not.

I'm okay with it if he was in fact telling the truth about the level or degree of higher and advance education that I have to earn a reputation of an ignoramus.  I speak for myself and I know he was lying when he spat out that sh ....ts the first time he went berserk. From that time on, I locked an eagle eye on his every disinformation move that does not only mislead but abuse the intelligence of the public.

He stepped out of line and I put him back. He is now stepping on the brake on name-calling after he bumped on someone standing ten feet tall in front of him. Besides, what he said about you and me and the rest of us and his immigration-population shock are attractive bones to chase and chew on.

Again, nobody called anyone names, and in fact, I called every reader to his or her best and brightest thinking.  But if the shoe fits, slip it on and see how it feels.  We're talking about reality as defined by science, clear thinking, observations and relevant realities such as water shortages, Peak Oil, Great Pacific Garbage Patch, Species extinction, climate destabilization and a host of other challenges facing the human race as to overpopulation.  For those that 'get' it, I speak to you; for those who can't or won't 'get' it or cannot understand it, I won't waste my time.  Galileo didn't and I won't. The 21st century awaits those able to think in 21st century understandings.  FW
