Are you ignorant of communism, or are you selling communism?  Are you ignorant to basic American Civics?

American Civics 101:

The constitution stipulates the rights of government as granted by the People...

It does NOT stipulate the Rights of the People as granted by the government.

FDR (and you apparently) are attempting to flip the paradigm.

Article 1 section 8 lists the 17 general law making powers of congress while Article 1 section 9 and the first 10 amendments Restrict how congress can write those laws.

All other powers are available to be freely exercised by the individual limited only by the damage we cause others.

What if entitlement were not a four-letter word?  The goals of universal health care, guaranteed employment, housing and food security, education and maybe throw in transportation and communcation sound idyllic.  Why then are we so afraid of considering them? Do we have so little faith in human industry?  If we were relieved of the work-a-day necessities, would we not then be able to devote out collective and individual talents to even nobler pursuits?  This epiphany occurred to me on November 7 upon Romney's loss.

I voted for Gov. Romney.  I voted to Sen Obama in 2008.  May be I am wrong.  As a capitalist, maybe my goal should be the establishment of a socialist utopia.  Are there truly not enough resources for everyone so that we are forced to fight it out in the arena of capitalism?  If we were to "spread the wealth" would the rich live in shacks and the poor grow fat and lazy?

My step-daughter does not think twice about burdening her elderly father and me with two illegitimate children, a drug habit and no job.  But is she the model for the entitlement society?  Is this the great fear?I don't know. Do you?
