It will not be long before the omnipotent people republic of California starts to issue breathing licenses where it will be a crime to inhale the states air without procuring a license to do so and paying for air usage by the breath.
After all if the gold is sold and melted down they can't re-steal it under civil forfeiture and sell it to pay for their home theater systems. You wouldn't deprive Pasadena's finest from a 62" LED HDTV with wireless 8.1 surround, would you?
