Giving Rumsfeld an award for defending the constitution would be like giving Obama the Nobel Peace Prize..... Oh wait a minute.... they did give that scum the Peace Prize. Sort of renders the repective groups as useless. And this is the group where Dr Paul wants to win their respect? If it were me I'd want to wash my hands of such a group.

For those who attend CPAC, please DO go to the Rumsfeld event and rememer to BE POSITIVE!  Quite literally, be as positive as possible: "RON PAUL RON PAUL RON PAUL RON PAUL RON PAUL RON PAUL."

;)

Someone please explain to me why the support of such a gathering as CPAC (showing their colors with this award) is a benefit to Ron Paul and his supporters? The boycotting of such an event would be far more 'representative' of principle than seeking their support.

An argument to "take over the event" would beg the question, 'Why?'.

Willingly and enthusiastically staying in a marriage with these 'planet beaters' can't end well. IMHO

I know why Ernie, and I'll tell you, too.

It's because when you've finally had enough SHIT from the BULLY, you want to KICK HIS ASS IN FRONT OF HIS HOUSE, where his Mom and Dad and whole family gets to see it.

I agree with you as to why it would be a waste of time and money to prove a point that wouldn't mean a whole lot to you or I personally, but it's still the reason why if it could be done, I'd like to see Ron just stomp ass at CPAC, and declare his candidacy in SPADES - with a shitload of screaming YOUNG PEOPLE leading the cheer.

My thoughts on CPAC, and the charge of Fascism... CPAC is like a Clan Moot for "conservatives" of all stripes. Generally, at such Moots, bitter enemies avoid each other, or debate each other in an organized fashion... This same thing would happen in a stateless society, as well... Will there be fascists there? Probably, but they will be a minute minority (and hiding their true colors from their own base...). What will _not_ be a minority is the growing army of post partisan small L libertarians heeding Dr. Paul's call for a strong showing at CPAC. To paint me, and the other r3VOLutionaries who are going to support Dr. Paul, as "Fascists" is idiotic, and I would not even be responding here if both Ernie and Ed had simply ignored this Ad Hominem Headline posing as journalism. Why am I going to CPAC? Because I have witnessed first hand, and capitalized on, the outreach opportunity. 1207 was launched there... for one... Because we are winning, and the fact that neo-cons are dropping out is evidence of that... Because this event, and the effort to get there has been mobilizing and invigorating thousands of students, and the supporters who are getting them there. Momentum matters And finally, Because Ron Paul asked me to. And I want him to do something for me... Run Ron Run!
