Radiation from both external and internal sources has been around as long as this planet. Life evolved with it and all species including humans have adapted to whatever effects it may have. Through out the world there are "hot springs" like the ones in my native Arkansas.

These waters tend to be laced with all sorts of "toxic" material including arsenic, lead and virtually every other so called hazardous chemical "known by the idiots in California" to cause ... Likewise the "vapors" given off are chock full of radon. So according to the "experts," ie has beens or drips under pressure, anything coming near these danger zones should drop dead in a matter of days.

However, both animals and humans have sought out and come to these "holy places" since long before recorded history. The United States government before the Federal Damn-a-nation Act (ie pre FDA) sent sick solders to Hot Springs National Park. Besides routine medical care patients would usually soak in these waters with their noses just above the warm waters so they could breath in the gases. And the water systems were specially engineered to ensure that as much of the raw gases as possible were delivered to the lungs of the bathers.

Sadly today the same fruit cake liberals who think that spanking an 18 month old child is cruelty to animals, make the outrageous claim that ANY radiation is bad no matter how small the dose. Nonsense!

The "linear regression" model that suggest there is absolutely no level at which a toxic substance no longer causes harm is fatally flawed. Think of it this way. Lets say that falling of a 50 foot cliff on to a concrete slab is almost (99.99%) always fatal. Now lets get 1000 folks to jump from 25. Without protection that too is usually (98%) fatal. How about 10 foot. 50/50 maybe. Five 20%?

OK so what are the chances that someone falling of their bathroom scale (1 inch) will die. They are not zero! but a rational and realistic analysis would conclude that something else or other health issues contributed far more to the death than whatever blunt force trama resulted from the impact.
