A few years ago I read a book on performance.  The author expressed the view that you get good at what you practice.

What are kids locked up in these rooms practicing?

That is what they will get good at.

If kids are getting this out of control, their needs are not being met in the first place.

And, if they're being "disciplined" in this way, their needs are still not being met.

How does being locked in an isolation room lead to the development of social skills?!

Prominent in the background is funding.  If you want more money, you have to demonstrate need.  Funny thing - if you accomplish your mission with the funds available, you can't demonstrate need.  So, if you want more money, you FAIL in your mission.  You screw things up.

What could be plainer?

When you entrust any third party with anything of value - your money, your political power, your personal power, your health, or the treasure that is your child - you invite this.

It's GONNA' happen.

Bombs could not wreak more havoc upon the fabric of society than this.

If funding practices of a bloated central government is anywhere close to the heart of the problem, then a smaller central government is part of the solution.

I can think of only one candidate who strongly and clearly advocates a smaller central government.

Well, think about the mechanics of the whole schooling system for kids. Kids are "wiggle people." They don't like sitting still. They want to move. But they are forced to sit for 6 to 8 hours a day at a desk. How's that for indoctrination?

Training in the important areas - reading, writing and arithmetic - takes only 3 hours a day if done properly. Kids who want, and parents who want their kids, to learn more than the big 3, have plenty of opportunity to get the kids into voluntary programs according to the aptitude of each individual child.

This whole education effort is a method for dumbing-down kids. It is the school board who should go back to school, and take a look at what they are doing to the spirits of the children, rather than just the minds. The whole public school system has moved from BS mode into the "dangerous" mode.
