My apologies to R3V CONTINUES Readers as after digging much deeper into this story I had to clarify things at The Daily Paul: Mike, When I posted this I had a long list of references to sort out that appeared to back up the original post. I didn't see anything similar to it, so up it went. Now I've been through many pages from different search paramenters I find that it all tracks back to an article covered here at The Paul in 2012 by Emalvini: http://www.dailypaul.com/265011/vatican-introduces-new-security-measures-microchip-tracking-devices It is quite peculiar that half of the search responses are dated 2012 and half 2014; this leads me to believe it is an attempt to 'resurge' the issue to the forefront. Stranger yet is when I use a quote in the search (“We have examined the scriptures thoroughly, and I can conclusively say that there’s nothing to indicate that RFID Chips are Satanic in anyway. If anything, these devices" to be exact) I only get five unique results, and three are recent. The top result ( http://nationalreport.net/pope-francis-public-support-rfid-chip-implantation/ ) uses the exact same language as the 2012 article, and refers to the same video as "Last month, NBC predicted..." and links to a 2010 video, leading me to believe the article Emalvini posted was a two-year-old rehash then! This is all instructive to those reading all this as to the depth necessary to 'vet' stories before posting them. Mike, if you feel the post is deleterious for this site, don't hesitate to delete it. Otherwise, I stand corrected, and will be more diligent in the future - especially during my first cup of coffee in the morning. Ed in Phoenix

UPDATE: Headline should have been: Vatican RFID Use Shifts From Objects to People Dateline - 2012 (I'm just seeing all this for the first time) As reported in The Register (July 2004) and The Guardian (November 2004) The Vatican Library had joined many thousands of institutions that used RFID for inventory and lending control of the obects it owns. http://www.theregister.co.uk/2004/07/09/vatican_library_rfid/ http://www.theguardian.com/technology/2004/nov/11/onlinesupplement.insideit But it wasn't until December 2012 The Telegraph reported that it was decided to use the same technology in cojunction with human beings - due to a 'scandal' relating to a butler and some leaked documents: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/europe/vaticancityandholysee/9717310/Vatican-introduces-new-security-measures-after-Vatileaks-scandal.html The article I originally posted is a copy of a parody site called The National Report, and is a spin by them (trying to be funny?) on one bit of true information. That is the issue at hand here with this article being posted, not whether the issue was parodied by someone and misquoted by someone else (me) without full, in-depth research. Am I the only one who looks at the past to see what the future beholds on the present course we appear to be on? Am I the only one who sees that the Vatican is one use of one card by someone other than who the chip is issued to away from implanting those chips into human bodies? As goes the Residents and Employees, so goes the Membership, eventually... I went through all this when I posted an article by Sorcha Faal before knowing who that person was (or wasn't) so this doesn't phase me a bit! I will still keep the conversation going (I learn by my mistakes) because, as Henry Steele Commager states in The Necessity of Freedom "The greatest danger that threatens us is neither heterodox thought nor orthodox thought, but the absence of thought."
