I agree with this Mike. The Internet has changed everything. Now kids are wondering why their government is bombing their friend they made online in _____________? It is one thing to read about your government's terror operations in some other place. It is quite another to know someone first hand on the scene of the crime. And to care about that person.

Additionally, the Internet allows reasonably anonymous posting of government secret documents exposing the bastards for what they are. Technology allows a reasonable ability to copy and rapidly distribute them.

Everyone has a camera, audio and video recorder in their pocket. And the means to broadcast real time in their pocket. Around the globe. And to remain connected around the globe in real time.

The Internet provides information on how to do anything. Who needs the institutions of government to provide information anymore? The debate is open online. Censorship from government is real but incomplete.

Government cost is at an all time high. Their payout is high to but cannot be sustained. It is collapsing. Time for folks to discuss its replacement. You can either replace it as has been done so many times before with some piker who promises the world if you just put them in charge. Or try something new and very old; take responsibility for your own life and leave others alone.
