For sweatshop employees, conditions are better than the alternative.  Otherwise, they would use those alternatives. "Stopping sweatshops in El Salvador and at home" is code for denying the employees those better alternatives.

The Committee in Solidarity with the People of El Salvador urges people to boycott companies "profiting from worker exploitation."  How does one "exploit" someone by making them an offer they didn't have before?

The solution is for governments to get out of the way and allow economic development.  As more employers bid for available labor, wages and conditions are bid higher.
