This could be a fait accompli right before the election, or it could be a prime example of the free market -- the real free market -- at work. Price too high due to recession fears shutting down the demand for oil and accumulating a huge backup of oil. Keep cutting that price until I hop in my Hummer and make like its 2006 all over again. Just don't expect me to put McCain stickers on the back.
