While the bill did pass the House frighteningly easy, it never became law. The author of the article, who did not sign it but I can only surmise is Jim Host, fails to even mention it. The details are in the link from govtrack.us.

What is more worrisome however, is CA Rep. Jane Harman's dyed-in-the-wool dedication to the particular brand of fascism running rampant throughout the federal government at this point. But again, the author of the cited article fails to mention it.
