SA pigeon 'faster than broadband'

• BBC News

A Durban IT company pitted a bird armed with a 4GB memory stick against the ADSL service from the country's biggest web firm, Telkom.  The pigeon took two hours to carry the data 60 miles - in the same time the ADSL had sent 4% of the data.

In your face!!!!...and one more tip, when watching those pigeons flying over head don't stand there with your mouth open...they sometimes will download more than just a little information...I tell ya' what!

Yeah, it looks bad, but if the distance were over 2800 miles then the DSL is faster than a non-stop pigeon, and infinitely faster over a distance that the pigeon couldn't traverse.  So it really doesn't mean anything. I just thought it was a cute experiment.
