A Long, Steep Drop for Americans' Standard of Living

• Christian Science Monitor
Think life is not as good as it used to be, at least in terms of your wallet? You'd be right about that. The standard of living for Americans has fallen longer and more steeply over the past three years than at any time since the US government began recording it five decades ago.

 Dear Powell,

Make a note that standard of living and quality of life will continue to fall as our population continues to rise.  A society cannot sustain an endlessly growing population any more than a human body can sustain an endlessly growing cancer. Ask Steve Jobs. Human overpopulation cements our fate as a declining civilization as to quality of life, standard of living, freedom, ability to earn a living wage, water shortages, energy shortages and resources.  If we fail to stabilize our population by reducing legal immigration, we will add 100 million people by 2035 and 138 million by 2050.  We will decline until we degrade into unsolvable problems.
