Now China wants Pakistan military bases

As enmity continues to build between the US and Pakistan over the use of Predator drones, military incursions into Pakistan's sovereign territory, and a festering revolt within the ranks of Pakistani intelligence services, China has stepped in with a bold request: it wants military bases there. China's military is expanding at a faster rate than any other country—a fact that has not escaped such China watchers as the US, the Russian Federation, India, and Japan. All four countries have been positioning their military and planning future weapons technology with one wary eye on the rising dragon.
