Feisty Ron Paul Hangs in Despite Likely Poor Showing in Michigan, Arizona

• By Mike Magner
Headed for third- or fourth-place finishes in Republican presidential primaries in Michigan and Arizona on Tuesday evening, Rep. Ron Paul, R-Texas, showed no signs of letting up in his campaign for reining in government and restoring civil liberties.

In a rally with vocal supporters in Springfield, Va., Paul railed against bank bailouts, soaring deficits, high taxes, and the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.

“And now, of course, they’re talking about attacking another country—Iran,” Paul declared. “There’s no evidence they have nuclear weapons; there’s no evidence they are even building them. We have to be heard about this—this country does not need another war at all.”

Paul repeated a central theme that has kept a devoted group of libertarian and conservative supporters active in his campaign.

I do not need to argue with anyone of you that Ron Paul's presidential candidacy is merely theatrical. His "weird" ideas and "out-of-this-world beliefs" are not fit for any camera-addicted politician to run for president. Normal thinking people do not take him seriously. For example, more people are just laughing at him when he talks about Economics. In front of the camera, he is trying to prove that to be an economic expert or an economist better than Dr. Bernanke with a Ph.D. in Economics, all you have to do is study Medicine and deliver babies. That's not ridiculous -- that's outrageous!

Just wait for a few days more for his announcement to drop out from the presidential race -- AS HE ALWAYS DO for so many years now. If not, then wait for the GOP National Convention where you will see his theatrical candidacy crushed like a bug under the boots of his opponents. As Panocha suggests, you must face the truth -- Ron Paul will never win the GOP presidential nomination. You have to get rid of that delusional hope that someday Ron Paul will become President of the United States! That will NEVER, ever happen! Again follow Panocha's advice ... face the truth ...accept reality.

Face the truth. Ron Paul always runs for president. You cannot face the truth that he is an "uelectable" candidate for president. Since he profits everytime he loses, he is in plain language, a professional loser. When the truth is hot about Ron Paul as a professional loser, and you can't take it, get out from the kitchen.

I mean Damn, Ernie!  You have a couple of real "class acts" posting comments on Freedoms Phoenix.  Those two jokers in particular (045223 and 044376) .....wow, unbelievable filth every single line, every single post.

Fraud, fraud, fraud... I've lived in West Michigan for 35 years. Needless to say I know a lot of people around here. Many, many patriots in the "Up North" country too. Everyone I know voted for Ron Paul. In the Lansng area the Ron Paul supportes far outnumber anyone else. Its difficult to go anywhere here in Michigan without bumping into Ron Paul enthusiasts. And yet he finished a distant third.

Gee, I wonder if the vote was rigged???

Let me post this comment from the record. As a perennial candidate for president, records show that Ron Paul is a professional loser. He is a professional loser in the sense that he profits in many ways from being a loser. In short, he may be a loser, but he is also a professional in making a profit out of those perennial losses, as JV pointed out.

We are a big group on the side of the public who see to it that people vote NOT for Ron Paul 2012! Votes should not be wasted on nuisance candidates.

The position of this "unelectable" nuisance candidate on the nuclear problem of Iran is so stupid and too primitive. He wants Iran to show to him evidence that they are producing a nuclear bomb! Think about it how stupid that is. Naturally he is so far behind in Michigan, Arizona.  What else do you expect? People are surprise he is even still there. Reports have it that he had finished memorizing his scripted statement to be released to the public that he is dropping out of the race any day from now. Contribution money is still coming in, and that pocketing even a marginal profit over expenses in the campaign trail is too tempting, and difficult to resist. That is most likely why he is still there as a nuisance candidate.
