This weekend, judges, lawyers and staff of the
country's 9th Circuit Court of Appeals will convene in Maui, Hawaii, for
a government-funded conference that they refused to cancel despite
pressure from Republican lawmakers who balked at the junket's $1 million
price tag.

For several years I have been intimately aware that this court has no respect for codified law or the Constitution. What makes these congressmen think they will have any respect for Congress. If Congress wants respect my thought is that the bills associated with the event be sent directly to the judges for payment. Warning, however, these judges have the feeling that they are omnipotent.
