As cries of a police state and martial law resounded in Tampa during the RNC, the tune is the very same outside the DNC as cops threaten and detain journalists. After undercover cops were exposed, journalists were threatened with physical violence and had their cameras confiscated.  Carlos Miller reminds us that under precedent by the DOJ that you do not have to give up your right to videotape nor can cops steal your camera.
