Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad
condemned US hegemony in a speech at the United Nations General Assembly on Wednesday and called for a “new world order” that does not bestow a few great powers with so much sway over the international system.
“The current abysmal situations of the world are due mainly to the wrong leadership of the world who have entrusted themselves to the devil,” he said, adding that allowing five countries to have veto power at the UN Security Council is “in no way acceptable.”
The Iranian President
also condemned “the military actions against Afghanistan and Iraq that left millions killed and homeless,” and the “continued threats by the uncivilized Zionists to resort to military action against our great nation.”
