Warning against the long-term ramifications of treating young people as
if they have no rights, The Rutherford Institute had asked the U.S.
Supreme Court to declare the use of random lockdowns, mass searches and
drug-sniffing dogs in the public schools to be unconstitutional in
violation of the Fourth Amendment’s prohibition on unreasonable
seizures.
