Alaska Pot Vote Delayed

However, the ballot initiative to let voters decide whether or not that will happen has been delayed until November. The vote was originally expected to happen in August, but was instead moved to the later date. The Guardian reports that the change was made due to a longer than average state legislative session which affected the legal timeline required for such initiatives to be placed on the ballot.
The move means the decision will be made during a general election when it’s likely that more voters will turn out to cast a ballot than they would have during the state’s August primary election.
