Timothy Sandefur’s Conscience of the Constitution Book Discussion, Signing, Q&A TODAY!

• Goldwater Institute

Timothy Sandefurs latest book, "Conscience of the Constitution," is essential reading for anyone who wants to understand the most fundamental value animating our Republic. Heres a hint: its not democracy, its individual liberty. According to Sandefur, the structures and guarantees of the Constitution can only be fully understood within the context of the principles articulated in the Declaration of Independence—the protection of the inalienable rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. The only thing surprising about this conclusion is the fact that a book had to be written to make the case for it.

The book discussion, signing and Q&A with Mr. Sandefur will be held on Thursday, May 15 at 12:00 p.m at the Goldwater Institute headquarters in Phoenix. A light lunch will be served during the program.В
