Beware of Covert Propaganda to Sway Public Opinion

• Daily Paul.com
For example, last week the following piece was published in the Tampa Tribune sponsored by PolitiFact.com, presumably a "fact checking" company used by newspapers.

The article seeks to determine the accuracy of the statement made by the Florida lobbyist group Save Our Society From Drugs that "Less than 5 percent of registered users in states allowing medical marijuana have cancer or AIDS." PolitiFact.com interviewed
sources on both sides of the issue and objectively concluded that the statement was "mostly correct."

The problem is that most people do not read beyond the headline and this headline reads: How Many Use Medical Pot as Weapon in Cancer, AIDS Fight?
