The federal government has given grant money to Fla. police departments to test beach goer's beverages for alcohol, reported WFLA. Police are using passive alcohol detectors, which simply hover above a drink indicating whether or not it's alcoholic. Holmes Beach, located south of Tampa on the Gulf coast, completely prohibits alcohol on the beach. Police are using this law to test anyone's beverage they choose.
