The police MUST have, and be able to articulate, a reasonable suspicion of a crime committed to even stop an individual, and THEN they must have probable cause to arrest them. Driving on ANY road in itself is in NO WAY suspicious, and randomly stopping commuters is completely counter to the ideals that this country was founded on.

Benjamin Franklin said; "Those who would give up essential liberties for temporary safety, deserve neither." The Framers understood liberty, and implemented the necessary constraints to contain the slippery slope that is tyranny, with our supreme law of the land; the Constitution, and in this case specifically, the 4th Amendment.

By letting this kind of police-state practice take place without protest, let alone PRAISING and DEFENDING this kind of action, you are letting this country slip faster into despotism, allowing our society to become accustomed to police-state/militaristic action, and leading us one step closer to ending the "grand experiment" that is our Constitutional Republic; the United States of America.
