Fast food workers across the country are planning strikes and other acts of civil disobedience as they push for a minimum wage of 15 dollars an hour. The first strikes are being planned for this Thursday. The Service Employees International Union is organizing the labor disputes. They're even encouraging home care aides to join the protest in Boston and several other cities. President Obama mentioned the fast food workers on Labor Day in a speech in Milwaukee. Obama says he will keep pressuring reluctant members of Congress to increase the national wage floor. And now, another former Presidential candidate is weighing in with HIS opinion on the minimum wage. Ralph Nader wrote an article for the Huffington Post. It says, "Democrats are doomed unless they make the minimum wage the number one November Election Issue." Joining us now to talk about the minimum wage is Peter Davis. Peter works with Time for a Raise.
