CIA letter reveals Bush's misleading theory during Iraq war
• david, Battlegroundblog.comDays before the 2003 US invasion on Iraq, the US officials alleged the 9/11 link of Iraq. As per the then reports, Mohammed Atta, a hijacker, had a meeting with an Iraqi spy Ahmad Khalil Ibrahim Samir al-Ani in Prague just before the attacks. The meeting was highlighted as a possible link between Saddam Hussein and the September 11 attacks.
A letter declassified by CIA recently on December 11 reveals that US intelligence doubted and expressed significant concerns over the theory or report put forward by former US president George W. Bush to justify war on Iraq. This very letter was sent to Carl Levin, a US Senator, early in March this year and was first reported by McClatchy newspapers. The letter clearly states that the US intelligence agency had failed to establish the truth of any such meeting.
