Appropriately named "New America," the foundation believes the U.S. passport should soon become obsolete and replaced with a European Union-style passport issued for all citizens of the U.S., Mexico and Canada.

A North American Union of The U.S., Canada, and Mexico was an idea put forward by Ronald Reagan. I added a post-communist Cuba and put the North American Union into my 1983 science-fiction novel, The Rainbow Cadenza.
