Farm Dinner ~ Veggie List ~ Market Schedule ~ Farm Vendor Market 2/6/16
• Tonopah Rob
It's cole slaw season. Pictured here is green cabbage.
I don't know about you, but my days go faster than the speed limit and here it is the first of February and it's time for the Farm – Vendor Market. There will be a few new vendors this weekend. Stage Line Ranch will be selling their all grass-fed beef and Kalifah will be mixing his special essential oils. He does a great job, I love his amber patchouli mix.
Also, attending the market is Pierre's Prime Beef Ranch. They raise a grass-fed/grain finished beef. Both Stage Line and Pierre offer a great product, buy one of each and compare for yourself. Joe the Fisherman, owner of Dry Bay Co. will be in his usual spot selling his delicious salmon he caught right from the Alaskan Rivers. People swear he has the best salmon around. Desert Pickin's owner, Evie Wainwright will have her tables stacked with yummy home-made breads, jams, jellies and pastries. You can come to the farm and buy your complete meals for the week, isn't that awesome?!

It's carrot and beet season too.
Here's the scoop on the farm dinner. As you probably already know by the previous stories, Tonopah Rob is hosting the second annual "Dine Under the Stars" farm to table dinner. Tonopah Rob is proud to announce the following sponsors whom are donating their products/services and talents for the upcoming feast.
First up is the Arizona Culinary Institute, (ACI). Executive chef and owner Robert Wilson and lead chef Christopher Wolf will be organizing, preparing and serving a 5 star dinner. All the produce and eggs used for their recipes will come fresh from the farm. ACI is in my opinion the top culinary school in the state. I've been to their restaurant and toured their facilities and they are beyond professional, have an extremely talented staff and student chefs. Remember that saying? "The student is only as good as the teacher". ACI is really excited to cook up a monsoon of a desert dinner you will never forget.
The Scottsdale Beer Company will be donating their brew for the dinner. Several flavors will be on hand for you to taste. The micro brew will be chilled to perfection and ready for you to savor. This is their first time participating in the dinner. If you get a chance, stop by their place and try a brew or two and let me know what flavor you favor.
Stage Line Ranch's owner Mike Ewen will be donating the grass-fed beef for the fund-raiser dinner. Mike and his staff have been to the farm several times selling their beef at Tonopah Rob's farm-vendor market. Mike is also one of the guest speakers who will tell his story about the ranch, how they humanely farm and give a history about the breed of cattle raised on his land. I've had his prime beef and it has fabulous flavor.
All of us are very excited to bring our local Arizona products from the farm, ranch and brewery to the "dinner under the stars". Won't you please join us for a beautiful evening of great food and spirits. The cost is 100.00 dollars per plate for all the food and drink you can eat. It's a fun time and a great date night. Tell your neighbors, friends and family about the dinner and be apart of the second annual "Dine Under the Stars" farm fund-raiser. To order tickets, email Tonopah Rob at tonopahrob@gmail.com or call 623 386 3033.
