California Insurrection Will Lead to "Food As a Weapon"

Back in 2013, the EBT card system failed. It began with the EBT cards going down for a couple of hours, which prevented many of the poor from buying food. The net result was that it didn't even take a day for civil unrest to rear its ugly head before the riots began. The Federal government received a quick answer about how long it would take for the poor to riot and it was mere hours. I contend that this was a beta test designed to gauge future behavior when Obama uses food as a weapon for real. Now that time is upon us.

That Was Then

The lessons of history clearly demonstrate that dictatorial regimes, whether they be Socialists, Communists, and Marxists will not hesitate to use food as a weapon against their own people in order to solidify power and impose absolute autocratic control. Food can be withheld from the masses by preventing it from being grown and harvested, by contaminating it and rendering it unfit for human consumption or by simply preventing food from being distributed to a targeted population. And there is a third strategy that the government can employ when subjugating a population by withholding food, that would be food which has a long shelf life. And this is exactly what we see, the Federal government is stockpiling survival food with a long shelf life. These combined factors can lead to the complete subjugation of a population by controlling the supply of food.

This Is Now

If insurrection consumes California, and in the likely event that the agricultural industry comes to a grinding halt, the nation will be placed in a position in which food can be used as a weapon. The importance of California's agricultural exports becoming imperiled will become catastrophic.

n 2017, California's farms and ranches received over $50 billion in cash receipts for their output. This represents an increase of almost 6 percent compared to 2016 1.

California's agricultural abundance includes more than 400 commodities. Over a third of the country's vegetables and two-thirds of the country's fruits and nuts are grown in California. California is the leading US state for cash farm receipts, accounting for over 13 percent of the nation's total agricultural value. The top producing commodities for 2017 include:

Dairy Products, Milk — $6.56 billion

Grapes — $5.79 billion

Almonds — $5.60 billion

Strawberries — $3.10 billion

Cattle and Calves — $2.53 billion

Lettuce — $2.41 billion

Walnuts — $1.59 billion

Tomatoes — $1.05 billion

Pistachios — $1.01 billion

Broilers — $939 million

California agricultural exports totaled $20.56 billion for 2017. Top commodities for export in 2017 included almonds, dairy and dairy products, pistachios, wine and walnuts. Export statistics are produced by the University of California, Davis, Agricultural Issues Center. Any disruption of California agricultural exports would prove catastrophic.

If Trump shuts down the border and declares a national emergency, the prevailing belief among my sources is that embedded forces of CALEXIT insurrection will rear their collective ugly heads and bring mayhem and violence to California. It is my sincere hope that you have plenty of stored food and water in such an event.

Exacerbating the Crisis

The partial government shutdown glided into its third week Saturday with no end in sight. If the government is not reopened before February, millions of Americans who receive benefits from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) , which makes up the nation's food stamp program, will have their assistance disrupted beginning in February..
