Biden's campaign could not confirm which cities he would visit while in the state.

Biden has made defeating Trump central to his bid for the Democratic presidential nomination. In his first visit to Iowa on April 30 and May 1 he pitched himself as the candidate best positioned to win the White House and restore the moral direction of the country.

Trump will visit the state on June 11 for a Republican party fundraiser in West Des Moines, the Des Moines Register reported Thursday morning.

The visit will also come two days after the Iowa Democratic Party's annual Hall of Fame celebration, which 17 Democratic candidates — but not Biden — will attend.

Biden's visit was first reported in the Politico Playbook newsletter. He will stay in Iowa through June 12, his campaign confirmed.
