The limited series is based on Jeffrey Toobin's book A Vast Conspiracy: The Real Story of the Sex Scandal That Nearly Brought Down a President. Sarah Burgess is writing and serving as EP with Ryan Murphy, Nina Jacobson, Brad Simpson, Brad Falchuk, Larry Karaszewski, Scott Alexander, Alexis Martin Woodall, and Paulson. Lewinsky, Feldstein, Henrietta Conrad and Jemima Khan are also producing. The series is expected to start filming on March 21 per FX boss John Landgraf as Murphy is currently directing the Netflix musical movie Prom. It's still undetermined whether Impeachment will air prior to Election Day this year due to production being pushed because of Murphy's busy schedule.
