A little girl who asked Santa for a hug from her grandmother got her Christmas wish this year in a heartwarming moment that was caught on camera. 

Amelia Jones, from Salt Lake City, Utah, revealed that her seven-year-old daughter, Sailor, wanted nothing more than to see her Nana this holiday season, and added 'a hug from Nana' to her list of Christmas wishes.

Amelia and her husband, Joshua Jones, made sure that wish came true, surprising Sailor with a visit from Joshua's mother, Leslie Loder.

In a video that Amelia shared on Instagram, her blindfolded daughter walks down the sidewalk before her nana sweeps her up in a huge hug and chokes back sobs.

Sailor had put together a list of three things for her Christmas wish list, asking for 'a pet, a medical kit, and a hug from Nana.'

'But it's fine if none of that happens,' she added. 

While it's unclear whether the medical kit or pet will end up under her tree, Sailor did get a much-appreciated visit from Nana.   

Amelia recorded the touching moment and shared it to her Instagram account, where it quickly went viral - stealing the hearts of thousands of people around the world.
