A Canadian man was in for quite the fright when he woke up and saw a pair of creepy ice sculptures in the shape of the Grim Reaper in his front yard. 

Ben Tucci, 65, of Ontario, Canada, first saw two ghostly figures on January 20, which he rightfully named the Grim Reaper and Jack Frost. 

'My initial reaction was one of awe. I couldn't believe my eyes. On the first formation, I thought this is Jack Frost, Old Man Winter, Father Christmas, or perhaps even the Grim Reaper,' Tucci said, according to the Mirror. 

'My immediate reaction to the "dejected" looking figure was of an eerie looking woman or a sea hag of sorts, leaving the property almost as if to be walking away from Jack Frost.'

He believes them to have been formed when water off Lake Erie frosted over his neighbor's lamppost.  

Tucci believes the incredible ice sculptures were simply nature doing its thing. 

The Canadian, who lives off Lake Erie, thinks the water from the lake got frosted over a neighbor's lamppost, creating the figures of death and winter in the yard. 

In an interesting twist, Tucci said his daughter was shocked when she saw his photos, claiming she saw these two figures in her nightmares when she stayed in their old lakeside cottage.

'My youngest daughter had previously told us that she would have nightmares when sleeping in her lakeside bedroom in the old cottage – such that she'd sleep on the couch at times. 

'When I showed her the pics of the ice formations she was stunned. She told me that the dejected-looking figure with [its] head bowed was the image she had been tormented by in her dreams.'
