Clinical psychologist and author Dr Jordan Peterson says he does not think governments do "any analysis at all" into the climate policies they implement.

"Let's just say for a moment that the climate alarmists are correct, even though they're not – especially not in their economic modelling," he told Sky News host Chris Kenny.

Dr Peterson said if one wanted to be distinguished as a "good leader in a time of crisis", they cannot be terrified enough by the future that they turn into a tyrant using "compulsion and force" to get others to comply.

"There has been careful analysis done by people like Marion Tupy and Bjorn Lomborg showing that we can chart a pathway forward through whatever climate trouble we're going to encounter," he said.
