On Friday, Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky said that former President Donald Trump's rhetoric on peace with Russia is "very dangerous" and it has him worried.

In an interview with UK's Channel 4 News, Zelensky was asked about Trump's claim that he could end the war in Ukraine in 24 hours. The Ukraine President said, "(Trump) is going to make decisions on his own, without … I'm not even talking about Russia, but without both sides, without us."

"If he says this publicly, that's a little scary. I've seen a lot, a lot of victims, but that's really making me a bit stressed," he added. "Because even if his idea, that no one has heard yet, doesn't work for us, for our people, he will do anything to implement his idea anyway. And this worries me a little."

Zelensky discussed the possibility that Trump's message could be political.

"If it's just political message then I don't [sic] afraid," He continued. "But if it is some formula, I have to know it."

Zelensky went on to invite former President Trump to Kyiv to discuss his plan to end the war in 24 hours. "Donald Trump, I invite you to Ukraine, to Kyiv. If you can stop the war during [sic] 24 hours, I think it will be enough to come," he said.

In July, Trump explained how he would fulfill his promise to end the war in Ukraine. "I would tell Zelensky, no more, you got to make a deal. I would tell Putin, if you don't make a deal, we're gonna give them a lot. We're gonna give more than they ever got if we have to," he said.
