Population Bomb; Hear It Exploding?

• https://www.lewrockwell.com, By Capt. Randall

….Or we can just pretend that technology will save us, that food and water will simply fall from the cloud, or that our soulless selfish elites have not been working for decades to dispose of billions of deplorables?

Lessons from the Wild

Look at animal populations that outgrow available food supplies and lose the predator/prey balance.

The onset of famine and disease will usually first wipe out prey animals,..then the predators who rely on them.

Sometimes man, as he eliminates natural habitats, also wipes out predators like wolves or prey animals like deer, then either wolves or deer overpopulate and succumb to starvation and disease.

Humanimals

Just look at tiny high-birthrate Israel involved in a deadly struggle for real estate today as they have over thousands of years.  Serial genocides are detailed in The Old Testament.

Once warrior states taste the spoils of conquest with treasure, lands, women and slaves; they become super-predators like the Assyrians,  Hebrews, Mongols, Romans and Vikings of old.  Look at the millions dead and displaced by the U.S. and its proxies in this century.

Weapons and tactics have evolved over the ages, refiguring the planet many times over.

"Success" eventually becomes a limiting factor as dominant states overpopulate, decay internally and collapse under the weight of their prowess.

Some nations become corrupt, fat and decadent and fall prey to hungry interlopers.

Civilizations rise and fall, unable to support their numbers…Change is usually incrementally imperceptible until "It Hits The Fan.".

Technologies Prolong the Inevitable

We have so far tricked our way around the Malthusian equation. As with most technological short-cutting of nature, there are tragic side effects.

World populations fueled by "The Green Revolution" soared to the point we have depleted our soils, contaminated our oceans and "fouled our own nest."
