Written by Brock Lorber Subject: Politics: Republican CampaignsAt least four Ron Paul Republicans in Nevada have been successfully seated at the Republican National Convention. Nevada GOP activist Mike Weber spent 6 hours testifying to a 10-person contest committee on Sunday, Aug 24, appealing the recommendation of a previous RNC panel that neither of the two slates of NV delegates be seated at next week's convention.
After the April 26 state convention was abruptly aborted, GOP delegates resumed the convention in June while the Nevada Republican Party appointed a second slate of delegates outside of the convention in July. At issue are 31 seats at the Republican National Convention; the Aug 15 panel recommended seating the 3 automatic seats from Nevada.
