The 'article' you posted is google search results for CB Radio? Uhh, thanks. I used to be into Ham Radio when I was a kid, I'd like to get back into it. Hams can communicate with each other independantly of the phone companies, internet, etc. Nice tool in event of a meltdown

If you want to get back into ham radio, now is the time. Morse Code is no longer required, and the written tests are easy with a bit of study. Computer programs are available to teach; see QRZ.com. Contact the ARRL at www.arrl.org for more information, and/or visit your nearest Ham Radio Outlet (HRO) store. Or Amateur Electronic Supply in Las Vegas.
