I like that the federal government is taking on the Maricopa and Pinal County Sheriff's in Arizona.  Demanding they obey.  It is not that I like either Sheriff---I most certainly do not.  I like them as much as I like the federal government.  BUT, there is a strange weird practice called federalism.  Pretty archaic and completely ignored by the US central government unless it is convenient to "remember" state sovereignty.

When it comes to county sheriff's some Courts of Appeals have held them to be the supreme law of their county with the federal government needing the sheriff's permission to operate in their county---even if the investigation was into corruption on the sheriff's part.  The 9th Circuit--who rules over Arizona--has not taken a position on this.  It might be fun if they did.  Don't really care how they rule.  Just that they rule.  Who's bitch is the sheriff?  The county voters or the President's?  Place yer bets.
