The interesting thing is that technology - "robot-ized" manufacturing - has made it nearly costless to manufacture cars these days. Also, near free energy technology is making it almost free to drive them. So, what is it that is keeping everybody from having and driving his own car? The industry certainly does not want to lose sales.
