Scientist Zawodny strikes me as a meglomaniacal criminally insane egghead. Yes, I understand the allure of nuclear power. But I also understand the risks of malfunctions, accidental damage, and waste disposal inherent in radioactive devices. Remember Fukoshima, Chernobyl, and Three Mile Island? Madam Curie died of radiation poisoning, and I am sure lots of others also.  We are already facing a huge crisis in nuclear waste disposal. I live in Alamogordo, New Mexico, where the first atom bomb was detonated in our backyard, in a state with a big chunk of the nuclear industry, including mining, labs, bombs, and waste disposal. Nuclear power might be good in outer space, but it is too dangerous on Earth!

McElchap - It doesn't sound like you understand this technology. There is a difference between Fission and LENR. There is no nuclear waste with LENR. Only clean energy with no harmful by products.
