The Founding Fathers expected the entire Congress to be a "freedom foyer" that jealously guarded the people's rights and liberties against oppression by the executive branch — the same way that Parliament had defended the English people against tyrannical kings.

Of course. The more the freedom for the people, the more the people will have incentive to become a great nation. All this and the leaders (Founding Fathers) could expect to reap more financial rewards from their private businesses.

Today's point among the puppeteers who run the people in government is, destroy freedom and make as much money as you can doing it. And most of the people in government don't even understand the concepts. And certainly the common people don't.
