I believe the USA is on schedule to be at 1,200 nuclear warheads by 2012 per treaty. This represents over a 95% reduction in warheads. 1,200 is a reasonable number. I am far more worried by the propensity of Bush to propose using them (min-nukes aren't real nukes -- no, only 16 times more powerful than what was dropped on Hiroshima = mininuke). Coming to a Persian Empire near you. And I am curious what is being done with the tremendous amount of weapons grade plutonium and uranium cores from the decommissioned nukes. [Think Israel might mysteriously get their hands on the material again?]
