Senate Banking Committee Chairman Christopher Dodd reportedly received 2 mortgages under a special [bankrupt] Countrywide Financial Corp. program that gave preferential interest rates to "friends" of the company's chairman.
In 1994 the Republicans were voted into both branches of the federal legislature in no small part due to the overwhelmingly corrupt and arrogant Democratic Congress. It sure didn't take any time for the old pattern to re-emerge after regaining control in 2006.
